We are seeking an experienced Economist with 3 plus years of experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and rapidly growing national team of planners, economists, and engineers recognized for innovative work in transportation planning, economics, and policy.
If selected you will support and lead studies related to freight economics and economic development, transportation policy, financial analysis, and related areas. You will also assist in the preparation of proposals and reports, and conduct research on transportation projects. The successful candidate should have enthusiasm for applied economics and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements: The ideal candidate has a Ph.D or Master’s degree in Economics or related field, as well as relevant experience conducting economic analyses related to freight transportation. Strong analytic, writing, and communication skills are also a must. Experience with statistical analysis packages, regional economic and freight/commodity flow databases, econometric and input/output models is required. Experience with travel demand forecasting models, and geographic information systems (GIS) is a plus.
