Young Executive Development Program for Transportation Professionals

artbaThe American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) is looking for up-and-coming transportation leaders, like you! The ARTBA Transportation Development Foundation (ARTBA-TDF) will conduct its 18th Annual Young Executive Development Program (YEDP) on June 3 – June 6, 2013, in Washington, D.C. Designed to develop future transportation design and construction industry leaders, it gives up-and-coming young executives an intensive introduction to the legislative and regulatory processes that affect the industry.

The application deadline for the ARTBA Foundation’s Young Executive Development Program (YEDP) is less than two weeks away! Nominate your “rising stars” today.

2013 YEDP Highlights:

  • Private tour of the Turner Fairbank’s Highway Research Facility
  • Dinner with a congressman to learn their perspective on transportation issues.
  • Special ARTBA Foundation Gala Awards Dinner.
  • “How to lobby Congress session” with ARTBA’s government affairs team.
  • Capitol Hill reception.
  • Roundtable discussion and reception with ARTBA’s past chairmen and presidents.

The YEDP is held in conjunction with ARTBA’s Annual Federal Issues Program (FIP) and Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) Fly-In , allowing participants to join many of these informative sessions. YEDP fellows have the opportunity to earn up to 30 professional development hours (PDH) and will learn how the federal highway program is financed, ways to increase worker safety, and the importance of integrity and ethics in the workplace.

More than 430 young executives from nearly 200 companies, public agencies and state contractor organizations in 40 states and Washington, D.C. have completed the program, including 2013 ARTBA Chairman, Steve Wright, Wright Brothers Construction Inc.

Admission is competitive. Download the application or contact ARTBA’s Sara Jones for more information.
