Following up on the in-person Young Members Council – Planning and Environmental (YPM-PE) Subcommittee meeting at the TRB Annual Meeting this past January, the Subcommittee co-chairs are inviting you to join them at the next teleconference of the Subcommittee, scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, 3 to 4pm EDT.
The meeting will focus on the development of the very first Strategic Plan for the Subcommittee, which the co-chairs hope will become the platform from where they implement the goals of the broader Young Members Council family. Agenda items include:
- Involvement: Providing opportunities for young professionals to get actively involved with TRB.
- Resources: Providing targeted resources geared for young professionals in the form of technical sessions, events, and guides.
- Connections: Providing networking opportunities and connecting young professional peers from around the world.
- Representation: Serving as young professionals’ liaison to and from TRB leadership and the research community to address issues of importance to young members.
