Mobility Matters Spring 2013 Issue is Online!

YPT is happy to announce that the latest installment of our magazine, Mobility Matters, is online.  A sample of the topics of the top articles inside include:  two young transportation entrepreneurs and their new firm, a how-to on harnessing the growing use of consumer-driven mobile data in transportation demand management, and a great highlight of the YPT Chicago Chapter and their activities.  That’s just a taste of what’s inside; this issue has a lot to offer!

This issue represents a collaborative effort between the incoming editor of Mobility Matters, Bryce McNitt (myself), and our outgoing editor, Shana Johnson.  I’d like to thank Shana for all of her hard work in putting this issue together, and for all of the experience she passed on to me while we prepared to publish.  Although I’ll be taking primary responsibility for Mobility Matters from here on out, I know Shana will continue to be involved in developing ideas and making connections with the large network of young transportation writers she has built during her time as editor.

With this issue published, work has already begun on our next issue, which we expect to have out in August of this year.  If you have an idea for an article, or want to tell a story about the work you are doing in transportation please contact me at mobilitymatters@yptransportation.org.  Although I’ll be reaching out to YPT members for articles, I’ve already received several great submissions from YPT members around the country, so please don’t hesitate to submit.
