Regional Plan Association is seeking a talented urban planner, economist, or policy analyst to undertake research, analyze data, and develop policy programs to identify and advocate best practices in transportation, environmental, and land use initiatives. Candidates should share RPA’s passion for fostering thriving, healthy cities, and communities. RPA encourages a challenging, collaborative, and fun work environment, and also believes in work-life balance.

RPA, a nonprofit urban-planning organization, focuses on the strategic government and business decisions that will shape the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut region’s overall well-being for the next generation. These include major infrastructure, urban planning, housing, environment, and climate policies and investments.

Typical projects include analysis of census or other data; presentation of results in written and graphic formats; coordination with project partners and decision-makers; and presentation of results at public conferences and workshops. Thinking creatively about tools, data, and strategies to support RPA’s high-quality planning and policy work is always encouraged.

RPA is a workplace that values diversity. Employment and promotional opportunities are equal opportunity without regard to race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic as established by law.
