The Director of Finance and Administration supervises a staff of ten in three different program areas:  finance, administration and information technology.  The position specifically requires experience in and understanding of innovative, as well as, regular federal aid financing to provide appropriate service to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and other stakeholders.  Texas has been on the forefront of innovative financing for several years.  We have more TIFIA loans than any other state, more private activity bond (PAB) issuances than any other state, multiple public-private partnerships, and availability payment-like projects, etc.

The ideal candidate for this position is one who can “speak the same language” on innovative finance issues with the TIFIA Office, the TxDOT Chief Financial Officer, and equity partners involved in public-private partnerships.

The position is a potential stepping stone to positions of greater responsibility both within the Finance discipline as well as other agency leadership positions, such as Assistant Division Administrator.   I this interests you I encourage you to “Think Texas…”
