The Grants Administrator is responsible for administering the financial aspects of various federal grants and preparing quarterly progress reports. He/she manages assigned grants to ensure budget adherence, validity of changes, and attainment of federal requirements. The Grants Administrator completes budget revision and amendments; codes and tracks payment of invoices using a Capital Program Management System; and coordinates with various departments within MTA including the Office of Finance and with MTA’s Project Managers.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ARE:

Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Four (4) years of experience in administrative or professional work. *One of the four years of experience must have been within Grants Administration.

SUBSTITUTION INFORMATION
1. Additional experience as described above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-for-year basis for the required general experience.
Licenses & Certifications:
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle and will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
