The New York City’s Department of Transportation is hiring a Program Planner for its Recovery & Resiliency Unit within the NYCDOT Division of Finance, Contracting & Program Management, Grants Administration Section. This unit is responsible for identifying resiliency and mitigation goals and strategies for the Department’s infrastructure, and for coordinating with the Mayor’s Office of Recovery and Resiliency on critical citywide coastal protection projects, as well as the management and administration of the agency’s emergency relief grant programs for Hurricane Sandy and other natural disasters.

NYCDOT is also hiring a Sustainability and Resiliency Planner to manage transportation planning projects related to sustainability, resiliency, neighborhood development, and other agency priorities. These studies will include consultation with the community and key stakeholders, coordination with other City, State, and regional agencies, data collection and analysis, and the development of policy recommendations and plans for short-term and long-term improvements.
