The Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department is responsible for managing all aspects of the operation of the city’s streets, actively promotes walking, bicycling and transit while maintaining access for private and commercial vehicles and supporting a wide range of uses for limited street and sidewalk space. The Department is seeking to hire a highly motivated individual to direct the Street Management Division, which is responsible for both day-to-day street operations and forward looking planning and engineering improvements, in a manner that creates a more multimodal, efficient, and equitable transportation system. $89,712 – $106,887 annually. Five or more years of experience in transportation engineering, planning, and/or operations, or directly related/equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or other relevant field required; Master’s degree in a similar field preferred.
