Analyst Position Description:
The selected candidate will support the analysis and presentation of ridership and revenue data by creating, updating, and evaluating reports of ridership and revenue data at varying levels of detail. Responsibilities include compiling data from multiple sources, meeting deadlines for scheduled reports, analyzing ridership and revenue trends, analyzing the impact of specific NYC Transit actions such as fare and service changes, and responding to data requests from internal and external parties. Manager Position Description:
This position is responsible for analyzing NYC Transit ridership/revenue trends; preparing monthly reports on ridership, revenue, MetroCard usage for senior management and the MTA Board; determining the ridership/revenue impact of service changes; analyzing the ridership/revenue effects of internal factors (e.g., service levels, fare changes) and external factors (e.g. economic and demographic trends, weather); allocating the annual budgeted ridership and revenue by month and day; explaining the variance between budgeted and actual revenue; responding to data request from internal and external clients; supervising professional staff; and coordinating data processing and request with TIS staff.
