The NYC chapter of Young Professionals in Transportation celebrated the year earlier this month at The Half Pint. The YPT-NYC chapter had much to be merry about this year, including an ever-growing membership, an incredibly successful summer tour series with trips to the World Trade Center Transportation Hub and the decommissioned City Hall subway station, a well-attended talk with the inspiring Jay Walder of Motivate, and even a hiking trip to the Mt. Beacon Fire Tower.
And, last month, YPT helped bring Transportation Camp back to NYC for the first time since 2011, filling Shepard Hall at City College with hundreds of transportation professionals and enthusiasts.
Members shared their new roles, responsibilities, and accomplishments – cementing old bonds, and meeting new friends and connections. With so many members and friends of YPT-NYC, we learned that we’re going to need a bigger venue for next year!
Whether you’ve just graduated and are dipping your toes in the New York transportation waters, or you just helped usher in the latest multi-million-dollar transit improvement to our region, thank you for ensuring the success of our region’s mobility!
Cheers,
The YPT-NYC Board
