Position Overview
Provide vehicle maintenance support for the Fairfax Connector bus system. The Fairfax Connector has a revenue fleet estimated value well over $200 million and three garages. This position requires 60% of time to oversee administrative work and 40% for technical. The administrative part includes maintenance performance data analysis, tracking of warranties, preventative maintenance (PM) records, maintenance contractual compliance and tracking inventory. Also includes developing and reviewing policies and standard operating procedure. The technical part comprises of participating in inspection audits, fleet campaigns as well as potential assignments in a wide variety of transportation projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of five years of experience in fleet management/maintenance. Knowledge of, and relevant experience in, the management of public transportation service delivery and related elements to include: customer service delivery, contract oversight and administration, project coordination, and extensive experience related to transit operations and transit support functions operations. Strong self -motivated, individual with the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Strong verbal, written, and computer skills, to include all Microsoft Office applications.
