Responsibilities
The Transportation Safety Consulting Engineer will function at a Guidehouse Senior Consultant staff level. Senior Consultants are second level non-management consultants that will have responsibility for client management, solution implementation and generation of project results. You will own project workstreams and interact with the client daily to ensure engagement success. This includes supporting day-to-day operational meetings with client sponsors and consulting leaders. Transportation Safety Consulting Engineer are expected to prepare and communicate well-organized, effective reports and presentations to client and internal executives. You will lead, coach and mentor consultants and ensure quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Support federal transportation safety programs and processes, including collecting and analyzing multi-modal safety data
- Support clients in safety-related initiatives aimed at optimizing safety programs, safety outcomes, and safety culture
- Support federal transportation clients in delivering transportation safety-related technical assistance, outreach, and support to state-level multi-modal transportation agencies
- Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client improvements
- Participate in client meetings, clearly synthesize meeting minutes, and disseminate them to team members and clients
- Develop business process improvements to existing programs
- Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff
