Responsibilities
The Management Consultant will play a key role in advising the client on leading financial, budgeting, and business practices for a portfolio of global transportation contracts ($1 billion per year in spend). The client relies on the consultant to identify process improvements and analyze performance.
The Guidehouse consultant shall understand, follow, and manage the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) concept as it pertains to Financial Management (FM) for a portfolio of transportation contracts. The consultant will provide decision support and financial reporting to USTRANSCOM personnel, management and stakeholders and ensure the integrity of financial data within Government accounting and information systems.
An example of a potential projects includes:
- Help the client establish new strategic priorities and projects. The client recently started a re-organization and will need help thinking through how best to incorporate their new staff/responsibilities.
- Lead a project that will consolidate separate historical Excel based reports into unified workbooks to enable historical trend analysis.
- Lead a project to build on the historical trend project to build what/if scenario planning tools to enable a predictive capability.
- Research Financial Management and Budget leading practices within the Department of Defense and make recommendations as to which processes would improve client performance.
Qualifications
Qualifications – Required
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance or similar
- Minimum Years of Experience Required: 1 year of experience in financial consulting, accounting, management, or related field
