WORK SCHEDULE FOR A Civil / Roadway Project Engineer
This full-time Engineer position typically works a flexible schedule of 40 hours a week with the option to work from home at least two days a week. Our Denver team is a collaborative mix of staff that include civil engineers, transportation engineers, planners, landscape architects, and marketing staff who recently celebrated our 100th project win. We have a diverse portfolio of multimodal transportation projects predominantly in CO, UT, WY, NM, AZ, and TX. Our projects range from citywide plans to street transformations in Colorado and throughout North America. You’ll be joining a dynamic and growing team in an exciting market and location. - · A bachelor’s or master’s Degree in civil engineering
- · A Professional Engineering license in the United States is required
- · 5+ years of experience developing construction documents with a preference for experience with the following agencies: City and County of Denver and CDOT
- · A broad knowledge base in civil engineering with a transportation focus and specific knowledge of horizontal and vertical roadway geometric design (MUTCD and AASHTO)

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT CIVIL ENGINEER / ROADWAY ENGINEER
As a Project Engineer, the things you design will get built! You’ll use your civil engineering knowledge to deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure in a wide range of contexts from roadway reconstructions and streetscapes in highly urban settings to signature trail projects in suburban and rural areas that highlight and enhance the natural environment. You use programs such as AutoCAD or MicroStation in order to fulfill production work on your projects. You will share your knowledge with staff and clients, to develop feasibility studies, concept plans, and construction documents, as well mentor your colleagues to ensure that our projects are consistently of the highest quality.
WORK SCHEDULE FOR A PROJECT ENGINEER CIVIL/ ROADWAY
This full-time Project Engineer position typically works a flexible schedule of 40 hours a week with the option to work from home at least two days a week. The Madison office of Toole Design is conveniently located downtown, less than a block from the Capitol Square, with secure bike parking and shower facilities. The office is easily accessed on foot, by bicycle, and via transit. Our Madison team is a dynamic mix of planners, landscape architects, and graphic designers, and our projects range from citywide plans to street transformations, both in Wisconsin and throughout the United States.

- · A bachelor’s or master’s Degree in civil engineering
- · A Professional Engineering license in the United States is required

Qualifications of a Project Planner:
- · A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field or additional work experience in lieu of secondary education
- · At least 5 years of active transportation, planning, landscape architecture, urban design, or other related experience
- · Strong writing skills and experience working as a support and/or lead writer for planning documents
- · Experience conducting public outreach and engagement
- · Comfort and successful track record working independently on completing and/or managing tasks

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT CIVIL ENGINEER / ROADWAY ENGINEER
As an Engineer I/II, the things you design will get built! You’ll use state of the art tools and practices to help create sustainable multimodal transportation infrastructure. WORK SCHEDULE FOR AN ENGINEER I/II
This full-time Engineer I/II position typically works a flexible schedule of 40 hours a week with the option to work from home at least two days a week. Toole Design has a multi-year contract to provide full-time staff support to ATD’s Active Transportation and Street Design Division. Our Austin team is an integral part of ATD’s nationally recognized street design team to design and implement a variety of projects as part of the City’s $720 million 2016 Mobility Bond. The contract supports the Bikeways, Safe Routes to School, and Sidewalks bond programs, and Transit Speed & Reliability work in partnership with the Capital Metro Transportation Authority.
Austin is on the leading edge of multimodal transportation, and the Toole Design team is a key part of a strategy to double the rate of project design and implementation in support of the 2016 Mobility Bond and other growing program needs.
