Experience with discipline-specific design software (i.e., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, InRoads, Geopak, GeoSlope, ANSYS, STADD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS).
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Engineer in Training Certification/FE Certification
Master’s graduate program is a plus
Working knowledge of AASHTOWare BrR load rating software preferred
Focus on structural analysis/design courses preferred
Familiarity with commercial drafting and analysis programs preferred

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Transportation Engineer for our New England district. The role may report to a local office in Boston, MA.

Your Impact

Design roadway/highway projects from inception to completion
Design horizontal geometry, profiles, and grading
Design and analyze drainage systems and storm water management infrastructure
Work on Complete Streets, green infrastructure, pavement markings and signs
Assistance in the preparation of quantity estimates and specifications
Preparation of reports and participation in field work and review of shop drawings

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required with 5-7 years of relevant experience
MassDOT Design Standards experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D design skills, including corridor development
Experience with delivering highway design projects from inception through the construction
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
EIT/FE Certification, PE Preferred
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
