Senior Mobile Application Developer

TripShot is on a mission to improve mobility technology for people and organizations across the globe. We’re building the next iteration of our successful transportation solutions for employers, cities, and universities, and we need your help.

The successful candidate will be a strong individual contributor capable of working remotely and leading a geographically distributed team, who loves an entrepreneurial environment and likes to have fun. Project implementation requires a professional who can be diplomatic, driven, and decisive in nature as they work throughout all levels of TripShot and our customers’ organizations.

In this role you will work with our mobile app team, backend engineering team, and product team to deliver next-generation mobile tools for drivers and riders using TripShot.

With the UI/UX designer and the product team, you will be expected to contribute ideas for improving the functionality for users and guide the design to strike the right balance between what we can dream and what we can do. You will additionally work with our backend team to define and review APIs that support the necessary mobile functionality. Finally, as an integral part of the mobile app team, you will work with other developers to create and share best practices, stay current on mobile OS updates and state-of-the-art techniques for building the best mobile tools in the industry.

Weekly you will engage in one or two product team meetings, an engineering staff meeting, and other ad-hoc meetings as necessary to support ongoing initiatives. Otherwise, you will communicate with the team and others in the company using GitLab, Slack and email.

Requirements:

• Significant contributions to one or more mobile apps currently on the Play Store and/or App Store.
• Top communication skills. Know how to make a case for your ideas and support it with facts, data, and good reason.
• Deep and wide experience with Android and/or iOS development tools and Java and/or Objective-C.
• Highly motivated with excellent personal time management. You will be working from home.
• Excellent analytical skills. Our roadmap is full of interesting problems requiring non-trivial design.
