The Phoenix chapter of YPT was created in March 2013 to enhance professional development among young transportation practitioners and future leaders in Phoenix.  Our mission is to cultivate an accessible community of young professionals passionate about transportation.  Join us for professional development, fellowship opportunities, and networking.

For our next event we’ll be joining a Jane’s Walk in downtown Phoenix to explore the history and urban characteristics of Adams Street.  This Jane’s Walk will meet on Saturday, May 4th at 6:00pm on the ICON Lounge patio (50 W. Adams St.).  The walk will start promptly, so be on time to this one!

Also stay tuned for more info on a group ride of the brand new Sky Train with a guided tour of Phoenix Sky Harbor airport.

For those that like Google calendars, here’s YPT Phoenix’s calendar of events.

Interesting in becoming more involved in YPT?  We’re always looking for help for organizing and running fantastic events for Phoenix transportation community.  We highly encourage interested individuals to attend our monthly board meetings (first Tuesday of the month).  Elections occur every year in October.  For more information, contact the current chair.

Membership in YPT is open to all young transportation professionals and students around the world.  We do not have an age-restricted definition of ‘young’ in YPT.  Anyone is welcome to participate in our activities and the best way to stay apprised of them is to take just two minutes to become either a Friend (free) or a Member ($20).
