GABRIELA KAPPES // LMN ARCHITECTS
CONTACT // SPONSORSHIP@YPTRANSPORTATION.ORG

Gabi Kappes is an urban designer for LMN Architects in Seattle, WA. Gabi recently re-located to Seattle – and in her new role is currently working on corridor planning in the Seattle area. Previously, Gabi has been focused on sustainable, resilient, and transformative transportation projects including Bus Rapid Transit, Transit-Oriented Development, and station area re-designs. She was involved with YPT locally in NYC since 2014 and plans to continue her involvement in Seattle!
Gabi is originally from Philadelphia and holds a B.S. in Community, Environment, and Development from Pennsylvania State University, as well as a masters degree in Regional and City Planning (MCRP) from Rutgers University. She is passionate about transportation planning and urban design because they are central to so many issues — resiliency, accessibility, climate change, environmental sustainability, equity, social mobility, education, and housing. She looks forward to working with YPT and sponsors in order to create a platform for young professionals to connect and learn from each other. Gabi loves to travel to new cities, volunteer, and do all the outdoor activities.
