The National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) held the 4th Annual Designing Cities Conference in Austin, Texas on October 28–31. Designing Cities brought transportation leaders and practitioners in from across the country to discuss key trends in urban street design and transportation policy.
The YPT Austin Chapter co-hosted a happy hour as part of the City of Austin’s Complete Streets Week during the NACTO Conference. The happy hour featured guest speaker Stephen Stansbery, AICP of Kimley-Horn from Charlotte, North Carolina. Stephen has 21 years of professional experience as a transportation planner assisting with the development of recent mobility strategies in Austin, Asheville, and Washington DC. Stephen’s emphasis has been on the development of sustainable solutions that recognize the inherent relationship between land use, urban form, mobility, and community vitality.
