Applications will be open until Friday, December 12, 2025.
Young Professionals in Transportation (YPT) gives early career professionals opportunities to take on leadership roles, participate in networking events, and grow their careers. The YPT Changemaker in Transportation Award serve as an opportunity to highlight the meaningful contributions that YPT Members are making in their organizations, the YPT international community, and/or the transportation industry.
Nominees will be evaluated by their impacts on the transportation industry, regional and/or local transportation systems, and/or on their communities.
Each awardee will receive a spotlight in the YPT International newsletter, on the website, and on the YPT Social Media Pages (LinkedIn, Instagram) page. The YPT Member of the Year will receive a $200 Amazon gift card.
YPT 2025 Member of the Year + Introducing the Inaugural YPT Mentor of the Year Award
This year, YPT International will present one outstanding YPT member with a “YPT Changemaker in Transportation – Member of the Year Award” to recognize their impactful work in the transportation industry and embodiment of YPT’s values and guiding principles.
YPT will present the very first “YPT Changemaker in Transportation – Mentor of the Year Award” to one transportation leader involved in YPT that has made significant contributions to the transportation industry while mentoring and cultivating the next generation of transportation professionals.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Member of the Year nominees must be YPT members
- Mentor of the Year nominees must showcase involvement with YPT, either at the International or Local level. They do not have to be YPT members.
- Self-nominations are allowed
- YPT members who were nominated but not selected for an award in a previous year are eligible to be nominated again this year
- Previous recipients are not eligible for nomination or selection
- You may nominate as many individuals as you like; however, each nomination must be submitted separately
