Daniel Byrd is a Transportation Planner at the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG). He specializes in roadway planning and travel demand modeling, and works to assess the impact of road projects on travel times and volumes in the DFW region. He moved to DFW from California in 2025. He enjoys hiking, bike riding, and any activity involving maps or geography.

As a YPT DFW board member, he’s excited to help organize events that are fun and uplifting. When he first moved to Texas, YPT was a fantastic resource for meeting new people and finding community.
