Parisa is an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineering Specialist at STV Inc., specializing in transportation safety, mobility technologies, and emerging transportation solutions. She has worked on projects with DFW Airport, PennDOT, WSDOT, Houston METRO, TDOT, and FDOT, focusing on ITS design, wrong-way driving mitigation, and AV/EV integration. With expertise in machine learning and statistical methods, she applies data-driven approaches to enhance transportation system performance and safety.
Parisa holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rowan University, where she conducted federally funded research in partnership with NCHRP, UTC, USDOT, and NJDOT. She is currently the Outreach & Advocacy Chair for the TexITE Dallas Section and serves on the ITS America and WTS Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Membership Development Committee, supporting initiatives that promote diversity and professional growth in transportation. Outside of work, she enjoys learning about emerging technologies, capturing scenic landscapes, and exploring new destinations.
