Call for YPT Leadership Nomination
Key details and timeline
- Candidate submission forms opened on September 19, 2025. Submission of this form is required if you wish to run for a local chapter or international role for 2026. Current board members need to submit their interest, as well.
- Deadline for candidate submissions is on October 10, 2025, at 11:59pm EDT.
- Election ballots will be sent out by YPT International to eligible voting Members for all Chapter and International elections on October 20, 2025. Elections occur through ranked choice voting.
- Elections will close on October 24, 2025 at 11:59pm EDT.
- Winners of local chapter and international elections will be announced on October 29, 2025.
- Board Transition period will be from November 3 to December 31, 2025. The expectation is that all newly elected Board members begin attending their respective Board meetings during this period.
- January 1, 2026: the new Board terms begin.
To submit your interest for a board role:
- You must be an active dues paying member as of September 19, 2025.
- You may apply for only one position, either on your local chapter board or the International board. However, you can also express interest in being considered for any roles that may become vacant—such as those with no applicants or those that open mid-year. Any board vacancies are filled at the discretion of the elected Chair and Board per the terms of the Chapter bylaws.
Due to variations in local chapter Board positions, information for your local chapter can be obtained by reaching out to your local YPT Chapter Board.
YPT International Board of Director Positions
What exactly does being on the YPT International Board of Directors entail? Directors typically offer a time commitment of 3-5 hours per week. Directors must be able to call into monthly Board of Directors meetings and may be asked to attend a yearly Board meeting.

YPT Regional Liaisons Positions
Regional Liaison shall facilitate connection with existing local chapters within the region and provide a platform for local chapters to communicate with the International Board of Directors. The Regional Liaison shall also work with contacts within the region to develop local chapter growth, new chapter development, and inter-chapter engagement.

International Board of Directors Term Updates
In accordance with the Bylaws, as amended and approved on February 23, 2025, the International Board will begin a phased transition to two-year terms for all roles. This change is intended to enhance continuity across board cycles and support the retention of institutional knowledge.

For the 2026–2027 term, the following roles are open for two-year appointments:

One-year terms
